TrueVUE Documentation
What is TrueVue
TrueVue is a tool for monitoring the progress of coverages through an interactive world map interface. It allows users to access and review the status of various coverages and programs across multiple tenants worldwide.
On the map, green bubbles indicate clusters of coverage locations that are close to each other. The number inside each bubble shows the total coverages within that cluster. This clustering helps keep the map clear and easy to navigate when multiple coverages are in the same area.
Clicking on a bubble will zoom in and expand the cluster, revealing individual coverage locations, as shown in the images above. Individual location pins represent specific coverage points, allowing users to view detailed information for that exact location.
Viewing a Coverage
When a location pin is clicked, the detailed coverage view is displayed.
Graph View
-
The red dotted line on the temperature graph indicates the threshold value for the coverage.
-
The black bars represent the recorded daily minimum and maximum temperatures.
-
Dates highlighted in red on the x-axis indicate days where the threshold was met or exceeded.
Coverage Information Panel (Left Side)
The left panel displays the key details of the selected coverage:
-
Latest Index Value — Shown prominently in bold green (e.g., 18.2 °C), with an “As of” timestamp indicating data recency.
-
Location – Name and coordinates of the coverage location.
-
Index Value – Index definition of the coverage.
-
Coverage Period – Start date and end date of the coverage.
-
Provider – Source of the coverage data (e.g., IMD – India Meteorological Department).
The informaton icon opens the Index Definition of the Coverage
Filter Coverage
Users can filter the displayed data by choosing an "As-of Date".
This lets them view the coverage details, index value, and graphs as they were on that specific date, making it easier to review past conditions.
Coverage History
When you click View History(1) on a coverage, three views are shown to help you understand past data:
1. Coverage Overview
This shows:
-
Location & Coordinates - The exact place of the coverage, with latitude and longitude.
-
Index Definition – How the coverage value (index) is calculated.
-
Strike – The index value where payouts start.
-
Exit – The index value where the maximum payout happens.
-
Payout – The total amount paid when the exit value is reached.
This view gives you the main details of the coverage.
2. Historical Data Table
This is a table that shows:
-
Daily index values for the coverage.
-
How each day’s value compares to the strike and exit levels.
-
Past trends to see how often the coverage came close to paying out.
It’s useful for reviewing past performance in detail.
3. Historical Trend Graph
This graph shows:
-
The index values over time for the coverage.
-
Clear lines for strike and exit levels.
-
Dates where the values went above the thresholds.
The graph makes it easy to spot patterns and see when payouts might have been triggered.
